Where do I park first when I arrive?

• You always park your car in the underground garage at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat. From there you will be personally accompanied to the Schlössl.

How long is the way from the Family Retreat to the Schlössl?

• The walking path is about 200 m long, leads across the road and through the park, and is also easily manageable with children.

Is the path weather-protected and lit?

• The path is continuously lit; some sections are weather-protected, others lead through the open air.

How does the luggage transport work?

• The DAS GERSTL Unique Team takes care of transporting your luggage from DAS GERSTL Family Retreat to DAS SCHLÖSSL and back again – as quickly as possible after your arrival.

Can I unload directly at the Schlössl?

• No, for organisational and heritage-protection reasons, parking and unloading are only provided at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat.

How large are the suites?

• Suite 801: 96 m²
• Suite 802: 105 m²
• Suite 803: 102 m² of living space plus 45 m² gallery (maisonette loft)

How many bedrooms and bathrooms are there?

• You will find the exact layout with bedrooms, bathrooms and special features (garden, terrace, gallery) in the detailed suite descriptions on this page.

Is there air conditioning?

• No. Thanks to the altitude of around 1,500 m, air conditioning is not necessary, as the rooms cool down pleasantly and naturally.

How is the kitchen equipped?

• Each suite features a small tea kitchen with sink, minibar and coffee machine. It is deliberately not a fully equipped holiday apartment kitchen with hob, oven or dishwasher. The focus is on hotel-like comfort with added flexibility.

Are there a washing machine or dryer?

• For an additional fee, you can use the laundry facilities at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat or make use of the laundry service.

How often is cleaning provided?

• On request, daily housekeeping is provided just like in a hotel. Alternatively, you can opt for reduced cleaning or final cleaning only – entirely according to your needs.

DAS SCHLÖSSL combines the luxury of a hotel with the spacious feel of a private apartment. Plenty of space, hotel-style services, yet not a classic self-catering apartment.

Do I have to go to the Family Retreat for every meal?
No. You can:

• order a breakfast box to your suite (for an extra fee)
• enjoy cosy raclette and fondue evenings in your suite
• take part in the summer barbecue event in the garden (for an extra fee)

Which drinks are included?

• All non-alcoholic drinks within the Schlössl concept are included; we communicate the exact details transparently on site. Alcoholic drinks are charged separately.

What is included in the Schlössl buffet?

• In the small buffet area at the Schlössl you will find non-alcoholic drinks and selected snacks. Depending on the offer, individual items may be included or available for an extra charge.

Do I have to decide on dinner in advance?

• Yes, so that we can plan in the best possible way. You choose in advance whether you wish to dine at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat or take part in special evenings at the Schlössl.

How does “hotel hopping” work?

• You enjoy your basic services at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat and can additionally dine and relax at DAS GERSTL Alpine Retreat (excluding lunch). We keep the organisational effort as low as possible – on site you will receive clear guidance.

Is there room service to the Schlössl?

• Yes, a selected range of dishes and drinks can be delivered directly to your suite for an extra fee.

Is childcare also included for Schlössl guests?

• Yes, children staying at the Schlössl can take part in the children’s programme and childcare at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat with prior registration.

How do children get safely to the Family Retreat?

• The route leads along a short, illuminated footpath and across the road via a pedestrian crossing.

Is baby equipment available?

• Yes, on request we provide a baby cot, high chair and further equipment.

Are the suites child-safe, especially the maisonette suite 803?

• Yes, particular attention was paid to child safety in the planning and furnishing. For individual needs, we are happy to advise you personally.

How far away is the spa area?

• The spa at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat is located around 200 m from the Schlössl.

Are there areas reserved exclusively for Schlössl guests?

• Yes, in the restaurant area of the Family Retreat, fixed tables are reserved for Schlössl guests. In the Schlössl itself you enjoy peace and special privacy.

Do I need to reserve wellness slots?

• At present, no fixed time-slot reservations are required. For individual treatments (such as massages), we kindly ask you to book in advance.

Are bathrobes available directly at the Schlössl?

• Yes, bathrobes and wellness bags are provided for you at the Schlössl.

Can I book private wellness at the Schlössl?

• Yes, massages and treatments in the Schlössl or in the garden are available on request and for an additional fee.

Are dogs allowed and are there any restrictions?

• Dogs are very welcome at the Schlössl. In the restaurant area – as in the main building – certain zones apply, while in the bar area dogs may accompany you.

What are the costs for dogs?

• 60.00 € per night and dog.

Are there dog services in the room?

• Yes, a dog bowl and blanket are provided in your room for your four-legged friend.

Are there walking paths directly from the Schlössl?

• You can start your walks right outside the door, either along the lake or into the village.

Why is arrival and departure only possible on Thursdays and Sundays?

• Fixed arrival and departure days are part of our concept and allow optimal planning of housekeeping, cuisine and experiences – ensuring a calm and well-organised Schlössl experience.

How do I book the entire house?

• Exclusive booking of the entire Schlössl is handled by our reservations/sales department. We will be happy to prepare an individual offer for you. Please contact us at sales@dasgerstl.com.

Is there a minimum occupancy?

• No, there is no minimum occupancy – you decide how many people will be travelling with you.

What are the cancellation conditions?

• The same cancellation conditions as at DAS GERSTL Family Retreat apply. You will find them clearly stated in your booking confirmation.

How exclusive is the experience really?

• The exclusivity lies in the tranquillity, the limited number of guests (only three suites) and the unique location directly on Lake Resia – combined with all the benefits of two five-star retreats.

Do I share the garden with other guests?

• Each suite has its own outdoor area (garden/terrace/balcony). The garden is partly visible, but designed in such a way that you can always withdraw and enjoy your privacy.

• No lift and not barrier-free: Due to the historic building structure and listed status, there is no lift and the Schlössl is not fully accessible.

• No separate full-service restaurant in the Schlössl: The culinary hub is DAS GERSTL Family Retreat, complemented by special Schlössl formats such as breakfast box, raclette and fondue in your suite.

• Shared kitchen: In addition to the tea kitchen in the suites, there is a shared kitchen that can be used on request.
