Sometimes together, sometimes each to their own, but always among like-minded people - that's how the world and its marvels can be (re)discovered with all the senses. Children and toddlers can together with Gersti the snow bunny and his friends climb, romp around, do crafts and learn more about nature and the environment  - not to mention about themselves and their own adventurous courage  - in a playful manner. Diversity, creativity and hands-on learning opportunities are at the centre of Gersti's World.

From a wide range of colourful activities in the hotel through to exciting guided excursions, hikes and voyages of discovery in the surrounding area, there's something to suit every level of excitement.

Learning through play

Curiosity and joy are the driving force behind our learning. But as we get older, it's all too easy to forget this. This is why having children always means growth for parents: after all, that's exactly what you can recognise in a child who enthusiastically takes their first steps or explores every stone and flower along the wayside with endless patience. DAS GERSTL Family Retreat capitalises on this realisation and combines two things that children and those young at heart love: fun and curiosity.

The hotel programme is packed full of opportunities to learn new things through play  - to name just a few examples: you can learn more about history on hikes around Lake Resia, water power is something that suddenly becomes completely logical when you experiment together and a visit to the r30 farmer not only reveals where eggs come from, but also how important it is to treat animals and nature with respect. The quiz evening that follows gives you the opportunity to put your new knowledge to the test while enjoying homemade smoothies made from regional fruit.

If that's not enough, you can also discover a lot about your own abilities during a talent show, cooking lessons, painting as well as arts and crafts sessions.
