Resia Holiday Area
In summer
Take a deep breath, savour the clear mountain air and then take a running jump into the fun.
No matter whether you want to take the Schöneben and Haideralm cable cars & lifts right up high, engage in a relaxed stroll along Lake Resia or explore the magical clear mountain lakes and mystical forests on winding paths: the Border Triangle holiday region on the Passo Resia offers everything you need for a perfect summer holiday in the Alps.
Hiking
Every nature lover in the family will discover the perfect thing for them along 300 kilometres of marked hiking trails:
adventurous summit conquests, unique family hikes leading to icy glacier worlds, bubbling water springs, roaring torrents and colourful lakes, culinary excursions to the Alpine huts and refuges and leisurely hikes along the high-altitude and panoramic trails. The holiday paradise of Resia/Reschen, with its imposing mountains and mild climate that lasts well into autumn, is an ideal adventure region for hikers, mountain walkers and cyclists in South Tyrol. And what if you want to see it from a different perspective? Why not explore many of the trails on horseback with Haflinger horses?
Carrier backpacks for your children can be borrowed free of charge!
Biking
Those wishing to explore the region on two wheels can look forward to more than 250 km of cycling and mountain biking trails. The jewel in the crown is the 80-km-long Adige Cycle Path along the old Via Claudia Augusta Roman road where you can experience nature and history up close. True adrenaline junkies together with their mountain bikes will be in their element on steep and challenging mountain tours, panoramic routes, single trails and flow trails. The rugged contrasts in the landscape not only ensure breathtaking views, but also a variety of trails covering all levels of difficulty.

Running
Running in the heart of a fascinating mountain world and at an ideal altitude of between 1,470 and 1,950 metres is a very special experience. A signposted and variety-packed 15.4-kilometre route takes runners around Lake Resia - including wonderful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, of course.
Those wanting to take things a bit slower can start on the 5.3-kilometre nature trail around Lake Haider/San Valentino alla Muta. If that's not enough to convince you, there are twelve further circular routes of varying lengths and levels of difficulty to ensure that light-footed runners have everything they could wish for.
More adventures
If that's still not enough, then don't worry! The Passo Resia Holiday Area has more than one adventure ace up its sleeve:
The Talai forest above St. Valentin auf der Haide is the only place in the Vinschgau Valley where an archery course is open all year round. The diverse terrain in picturesque surroundings makes archery an authentic nature experience.
